Christmas Decorations Series

Walked around the Penang Island, I saw a lot of christmas decorations was ready in the month of December! So I can feel that Christmas is very soon and it will be happened on this coming 25th! So guys are you ready for it? So it means year end is coming... now everyone almost having holiday mood, children having school holidays, students having post exam holidays it was just like me had my SPM over...

Yea starting from Queensbay Mall until Komtar Georgetown, I looked all over the christmas decorations in the town. It seems like more attractive than last year and there were really having the christmas atmosphere! Yea Santa Claus is coming to town!

#1 Queensbay Mall's Christmas Decorations

Queensbay Mall had decorated their central zone into the christmas mode. It was seems like the wonderland in the winter season and there was a lot of kids stuffs there. It was like bring everyone back to childhood! Really nice design!

#2 Penang Times Square's Christmas Decorations

Penang Times Square had decorated their mall symbol into the christmas dressing which the statues were dressed up like the santa claus greeting the mall customers! It was so cool and I am looking forward for the christmas event there!

#3 Komtar's Christmas Decorations

Inside Komtar there was no christmas decorations whereas for GAMA Supermarket there, it was a large christmas tree showing in front and seems like the new season symbol of Komtar Georgetown! Not bad the idea but I hope to see Komtar having some christmas decorations too. By the way, Komtar had just renovated... Turn to more clean, more clear and more lights.

#4 1st Avenue's Christmas Decorations

I was getting attracted into the christmas decorations inside the mall. I was attracted into the theme that given by the mall management. It was themed as Musical X'Mas! Wow.... It was so amazing and the theme was like having the rhythm of christmas songs. When I walked into the mall, I heard the christmas songs non stop playing in the mall. Good idea 1st Avenue!

#5 Prangin Mall's Christmas Decorations

This year Prangin Mall also having the nice design on christmas greeting! The management used up the colourful balloons to decorate up the mall Atrium A which was the most crowded place. Besides that, at the stage there I could see some kids decorations too... It was like another wonderland. Not bad la Prangin Mall! I love it too.

#6 New World Park's Christmas Decorations

Merry Green Christmas... seems like New World Park are having the ECO Christmas... Even their Christmas decorations also made up of recycled bottles. Everything was going green and also save cost on decorations. Not bad for this idea and it seems nice and unique too!

Food Gallery @ Penang Times Square

A few weeks ago, I went to Penang Times Square Food Gallery with my parents! Food Gallery in Times Square was opened since the month of March this year. Penang Times Square Management team had designed out the whole plans and target for gaining customers to their shopping mall! Well, Food Gallery seriously was gained a lot of people to be there and the response sounds good!

The view inside the Penang Times Square. The actual location was at the 1st floor of the shopping mall. The kitchen area for Food Gallery was so big can be said that the biggest food gallery ever in Penang Island!

There was various types of local food, japanese food, hong kong food and many more to choose. It's a good choice for the Penangites or Penang Traveller to enjoy their meal here. Inside the food gallery, any food also have! You can taste the local malay style food, nyonya style food, indian food, oriental style food and even more! The price was low but serves with tasty!

Walking around the food gallery and I found that the price there was moderate but they really served the good meals to customers. When I was there, I saw a lot of people crowded there to wait for their lunch! The kitchen was clean and mostly they are using modern cooking! Environment good with air conditioner!

We had ordered a few food from there. I was ordered Singapore Fried Bihun for RM 3.90 each plate, my mum's local loh mee RM 4.00, my dad's chicken set lunch RM 9.00. Mango Ice Blended and Ice Kacang was RM 2.50 each! The price was moderate but they served with quantity and quality! Not bad... The best thing is having lunch there no need to pay tax and you can even enjoy the environment there with the WiFi service provided!

Youth Jam 11' is coming this weekends!

Yo guys, having holidays right? If you are staying in Penang, you will know that this weekends Penang is having a large Youth Festival which called Youth Jam 11'. Usually this was merdeka event in previous years but this year they moved it to the mid year holidays to let more teenagers get the chance to participate on it!

What to do in Youth Jam? Actually Youth Jam is just like a Youth Carnival for teenagers to enjoy themselves within the events that organized by Penang Youths!

Penang Times Square Food Gallery

Penang Times Square had turned the phase 1 section to the big lot of Food Gallery recently. Where's Penang Times Square? For your information, Penang Times Square is located at Jalan Dato Keramat which you can see the building near KOMTAR. It was a big project for Ivory and also the next shopping delight in the town!

Last Tuesday morning I was there took a brief visit before waiting public bus to come. I walked into the mall and maybe it was still early so I didn't see the crowd of people. I saw the food gallery was located at Level 1 and I never been there yet. I promised I will take a try and trust that the food was serving in the lowest price in the town! All food are started from RM 4.50!

Food Gallery was opened since 9th March 2011! It has gain more people to the mall and really an effective method to serve the customer better! I hope that Penang Times Square can be alive again after this food gallery was opened. Not to forget to mention, Penang Times Square phase 2 is coming soon! Penangites should go more Penang Times Square and enjoy yourself at the events that brought to you by the management! *More photos please click here

Pillow Fight @ Penang Times Square

Last Saturday, Penang Island had a lot of activities. Penang Leo Clubs had organized two events which at Penang Times Square and Queensbay Mall. Most of the people known the largest pillow fight in Malaysia. It had happened in Penang Island! The purpose of having this kind of event is to raise the fund for the needs of disabled. Those fund especially go for the caring homes such as St. Nicholas!

That day when I arrived there the event was going to end. I saw less people there and no longer the fight out there. I arrived there about 1pm something after my meeting at school. I thought it ends on 2pm but it doesn't. I think maybe is because of the rain came and the open plaza will get wet after it.

I just manage to take some 'lame' photos. I can't blame anyone because is myself late to be there. It's alright and I met some friends there. Most of them were bloggers and photographers. I saw many peoples were received their award from the organizer.

I didn't have chance to see all of the event. So I can't imagine what had happened while they were fighting. I just saw many boys and girls there holding their pillow and the floor was full of cottons.

Next, I saw some photographers were snapping on the car. This car was sponsored by RedBull and it painted RedBull design. I think this car should have something special or maybe the celebrities Baki Zainal was inside the car, or perhaps? By the way, this was a nice car!

I didn't take lots of photos on that day. I just walked there and take a look on the event. But I remember the theme for this Pillow Fight... Fight for A Good Cause! It's suitable for those candidates who was just passed their exam and released their stress on the first day of holidays! Although this event didn't reach the target that organizer set but I think it's a good start for Penang local events. It's a new event, I shouldn't miss it next year!

Lastly, Nicholas Chan and Yong Seng were taking photo with me. I think this photo is meaningful because it contains of '3 generations'. It's because now Nicholas 17, Yong Seng 16 and me 15. Inside Penang Times Square

I had make my first time step into Penang Times Square. This complex had opened in the mid year if not mistaken and I have no chance to step into there. I can say that the complex have not yet officially opened up. Seems a lot of units still empty and not many people shop out there. I am looking forward for the new Sunshine City opening in the complex and bring in more people to shop out there.

I walked from the Siam Road after I done being my payment to the suppliers. Then I stood opposite road and snapped this shot. As I can imagine that this will be a huge building with luxury style in future 5 years. Hope to see that happening in Georgetown!

I walked pass the road and enter the main entrance. I know why this complex not many people likes it. One of the reason maybe is the traffic congested in way to KOMTAR. Not enough parking lots also cause the problem occurred. I hope before the Sunshine City open, this problem should no longer be there!

I saw this welcoming tag at the door entrance before the lifts. When I first walked in, I thought it was a hotel lobby and have a lift going up to the condominium. Anyway, I love the environment and building structure. It seems like another Gurney Plaza.

Outside the building there have a big space for events. I think this place can put up more than 10K people. Besides that I think it's a good place to hold a concert or any function too. That day when I went, there was no function going on. That's why so empty!

In front of the stage, you can see the fountain which contain of water flying out there. It's a nice decoration and also a creative sign. I think the Flea Market were no longer hold on there and now there just put it empty and wait for the next function to come. Besides of these, there also have some creative designs but my camera not enough battery and I failed to snap it!

They were holding their halloween celebration in the square too. They function hall was quite small and I think can just suit in some of the people. The area not bad! I love it's escalator which can sensor automatically and move it when people walked through. It's an advance technology and firstly found in Penang Island! Good job, Ivory.

The Events Management was holding a Halloween Drawing Contest for Kids. It's not like some shopping malls holding the Halloween costumes competition. I think Penang Times Square next year will be holding this event as well... Looking forward. By the way, I wish Penang Times Square can get a lot of business in future and begin it's life from 2010!
