Makan Shiok Shiok @ Adventist Hospital (Ep/1)

Last Sunday, Penang Adventist Hospital held a charity food fair which called Makan Shiok Shiok on the field which opposite the hospital. I am a Leo Club member, so I went there to help out on our booth. We were running some games for children and visitors for charity purpose. There are many stalls and majority were the food stalls. Based on the theme, I think everyone was makan until very shiok! XD.
Makan Shiok Shiok
This was the stage of the event. They placed two piano and some musical assets to let the performers to present on the stage.
Peoples
As you can see there was crowded of peoples buying the food and having some drinks. My friend like Uncle BOB fried chicken so much then he called me to queue up and buy for him. I think the Uncle BOB earned a lot of charity funds for Adventist Hospital.
Chef Speaker
The representative of the chef was giving his speech on the stage. If you read newspaper, you will saw that one news article which mentioned that two plates of fried rice sold on RM 20K. Wow! Actually this was the charity fund for Adventist and really thanks to that guy who able to bring out so much of money!
Good Shot
We setup a booth which provided light games for children and earned some charity fund for Adventist Hospital. I think most of the people play before this game on Starwalk which always organized by Magnum 4D. Our purpose for making this are cheer up those children from boring and raise up the charity fund.
Play the Games
My 2nd Vice President Lester and Editor Hong Wei Kuan were helping the boy and gave the instruction on how to start the game. I think the boy enjoyed the process on playing this game and he get some gifts to be rewarded.
Wear Mask
I saw a cute boy wore mask while walking passed our store. It's a good attitude to be practiced!
Preparing Food
While I walking through the whole food fair, the chef was preparing the food for the public.
The Clown
I saw a clown was blowing up the balloons for children and cheered on them.
Food Stalls
There were a lot of food stalls been there.

I love those charity food fair happening for Adventist Hospital. Do you like this?
More photos will be continue on the upcoming blog post, stay tuned! Posted by GenYong 08.11.2009

Have you Cut? Sudah Potong?

Recently you will hear this advertisement non-stop preview in the Television screen. Besides that, you will see almost everyday and especially today The Star Paper was advertise this advertisement too. Sudah Potong? Have you Cut? 你‘割’了没?
Those language also become the jokes in the school now. Even though when I listen to the Radio Station advertise on this I also will laugh out. P1 WiMaX had succeed to get the attraction from public by putting this advertisement. It's amazing and brave in action!
Today when you read Star Paper, you will see that the back cover was the P1 Wimax advertisement. I think this company was rich enough to gain its popularity to call the Internet user change over to their network.
This is the print screen on the P1Wimax website. All the page was full with the Sudah Potong? advertisement. It's really a big promotion!

Besides that they also prepare some video clips on the jokes. Those videos preview in TV before but now the government banned those videos because they might contains some negative contents inside. I have no comment on this! Now we can just watch it on youtube, enjoy!

So what you wait for?
Cepat Potong la! 割了他啦! Cut it la! ... Posted by GenYong 06.11.2009

Helluva Halloween @ Queensbay Mall

Last Saturday everyone had celebrated Halloween. In Penang, the shopping malls also organized some programs about Halloween. The well-known Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall were hold a Halloween event in their place properly. The Penangites were so lucky have the choice where to go celebrate... Even though the new shopping complex -Penang Times Square also celebrate this Halloween Day.
Helluva Halloween
The stage covered with the Halloween decorations which full of bats, big pumpkins, spiders and some haunted homes. It's a nice decorations and I like the name which called 'Helluva Halloween' sounds like welcome Halloween. Helluva=Hello? XD!
Align Center
Peoples
There was crowded of people watching the performances. Most of the parents brought their children to see this annual celebration. Some auntie uncle were waiting for their child who had taken part in the contest to get the result. Everyone sat down waiting for the result to be announced.
Halloween DANZITY
A group of popular dancers (DANZITY) were participate in this event too. They dressed the Halloween costumes and acting like a ghost to get playful with public. Many of the people would like to take photos with them. *Actually they're invited to perform a Halloween dance and they did something to entertain the people and mentioned that It's Halloween!
Costumes Winners
After the long waiting, the result finally out. The Master of Ceremony announced the winners and they came in front to the stage and received the prizes. I really admired at those winners dare to dressed like a ghost and won out in this contest! It's amazing and it's not an easy job too!
Champion
At last the champion goes to the little girl who's only 10 years old. She dressed a lot of decoration and it's seems like a tree. When I walked there, I felt weird why got a tree beside the stage and later when the MC announced I just realized that she's a participant too!

So what you celebrate on Halloween Day? Act as a ghost and scare people? XD. Posted by GenYong 06.11.2009

Inside Penang Times Square

I had make my first time step into Penang Times Square. This complex had opened in the mid year if not mistaken and I have no chance to step into there. I can say that the complex have not yet officially opened up. Seems a lot of units still empty and not many people shop out there. I am looking forward for the new Sunshine City opening in the complex and bring in more people to shop out there.
Outer View
I walked from the Siam Road after I done being my payment to the suppliers. Then I stood opposite road and snapped this shot. As I can imagine that this will be a huge building with luxury style in future 5 years. Hope to see that happening in Georgetown!
Main Entrance
I walked pass the road and enter the main entrance. I know why this complex not many people likes it. One of the reason maybe is the traffic congested in way to KOMTAR. Not enough parking lots also cause the problem occurred. I hope before the Sunshine City open, this problem should no longer be there!
Welcoming Tag
I saw this welcoming tag at the door entrance before the lifts. When I first walked in, I thought it was a hotel lobby and have a lift going up to the condominium. Anyway, I love the environment and building structure. It seems like another Gurney Plaza.
The Stage
Outside the building there have a big space for events. I think this place can put up more than 10K people. Besides that I think it's a good place to hold a concert or any function too. That day when I went, there was no function going on. That's why so empty!
The Fountain
In front of the stage, you can see the fountain which contain of water flying out there. It's a nice decoration and also a creative sign. I think the Flea Market were no longer hold on there and now there just put it empty and wait for the next function to come. Besides of these, there also have some creative designs but my camera not enough battery and I failed to snap it!
Halloween at Times Square
They were holding their halloween celebration in the square too. They function hall was quite small and I think can just suit in some of the people. The area not bad! I love it's escalator which can sensor automatically and move it when people walked through. It's an advance technology and firstly found in Penang Island! Good job, Ivory.
Drawing Contest
The Events Management was holding a Halloween Drawing Contest for Kids. It's not like some shopping malls holding the Halloween costumes competition. I think Penang Times Square next year will be holding this event as well... Looking forward. By the way, I wish Penang Times Square can get a lot of business in future and begin it's life from 2010! JCI Junior ChungLing Butterworth Installation (Ep.1)

On the 24th of October I had join my society JCI Junior attended the Installation at ChungLing Butterworth. I was surprise that 40 peoples could turn up on that day and really made me glad. From that on, I realized that our members mostly like the outing activities. XD! By the way, we took bus there. It's not a near distance, I just realized that their school was located at Permatang Pauh which very deep inside rural area. Along the way we could see the factories and paddy fields.
School Compound
Our Board Of Directors were preparing for their costumes and adjusted for their clothes neatly.
The Organizer
She's the organizer who named JoXian. She is a good organizer and she planned everything with her committees to arrange all the programs to make sure it run smoothly. We were very glad to get the organizer invitation at the registration counter! Thank you, XD!
Register
As you can see my junior Li Yang was writing his name and put his signature on the invitation paper. Let me introduce to you, he is my president's brother which is now Form 1 and holding the Form Representatives position. I think he will be a good leader on next time! Add oil Li Yang...
Booklet
They provided us a simple but nice booklet. This let me think about reduce campaign and economic crisis case. Nowadays don't waste too much money on making such things not so important. I really like their design which all hand made! Although it's simple but the contents all included! It can let me simply flip through and get into the information and new B.O.D contacts.
Dance
The JCI Junior of ChungLing Butterworth were performing a dance with the theme song of "I Got The Feeling" to open up the whole ceremony. The dance were presented by the juniors which aged between 14 and 15 years old.
JCI Senator
Later it's speeching time, I managed to take a shot while the JCI Senator Teoh Eng Keat gave his speech. He was talking about the joint installation concept in order to gather up all JCI Junior and held a grand convention next year. Because of the request and curious from the Senior Assistant of ChungLing Butterworth, they had think of this concept. So I am looking forward for the grand event soon in year 2010! XD!
Buffet Dinner
Queue Up
If I'm not mistaken, most of the Installation were using the buffet concept. It's more low costing and most of the people will like it. Besides that, if you feel that not enough still can get again from the stall. I love the food actually because I didn't taste this delicious food before in all the installation. I was full enough after having this buffet dinner, it's worth it!

If any installation are upcoming and you would like to invited me, you can simply email me at least 1 week earlier to let me arrange my time. I will try my best to attend on the occasion. *try to get my phone number via email, thank you! Posted by GenYong 02.11.2009

Queensbay Mall Hang Out

Recently most of the Form 3 students will hang out to shopping complex after school or in public holidays. Anyway, I had it before which in the Deepavali holiday and yesterday I was at Queensbay Mall to watch the Halloween celebrations.

I went to Queensbay Mall in the purpose for hang out and I think that was just wasting time in public holiday. But actually it lets me to walk through the shopping mall and explore out the shops. I don't like shopping because I have not much money. I like to watch movie but I don't know how to skate... So actually Queensbay Mall not really shiok for me! XD.

In Arcade
I am sure that most of the teenagers come to Queensbay will enter this shop which is a games and entertainment place. It provided the arcade games that enable us to relax the mind temporary. By the way, I advise to everyone better don't addicted on it! (Picture)GuangIan was perform his shooting skill in the Arcade.
Walter
Later we went to Old Town before we went home. We sat down and discuss about the features happened and share opinion with each other. GuangIan have a cup of coffee and we enjoy talking there and played stacko. (Picture) He was WalterTeng who appeared in my blog before.
Guang Ian
He's GuangIan and he also appear in my blog before and the recent video he acted as a reporter! it's funny... Anyway, he's a good guy! Nice friend.
Cool Drink!
He was trying to act cool when drinking the coffee. I took the opportunities to snap down some shots. If can I should send this photo to Old Town for advertising to earn some income for him! XD.
Stacko
Then we played stacko there which just bought at Toy R Us. We tried one round and it left just some pieces and finally we destroyed it at the Old Town corner. It's cool enough and the waiter was looking at us with the smiles.
The Trio
At last we managed to call up people to help us took a trio shot. We met a lot of ChungLing guys hanging out there too... We joined them shop for a moment and took photos. The three of us are best friends, am I right? Next time we go out again can? XD! Posted by GenYong 01.11.2009
