DAP Dinner 全民宴

Last Monday night, I went to Han Chiang High School together with my dad to attend the state government's dinner. It's organized by the DAP(Democratic Action Party) politics party! The day before the dinner was DAP Annual General Meeting 2010 in Ipoh, Perak. I think this was the 1st politics dinner that I went before. Seriously, I love to read politics but I don't like some politicians acting their style.

Since 308 general election, Pakatan Rakyat had taken over the state government from former Gerakan. The Chief Minister was still remain as chinese, he is YAB Lim Guan Eng who from DAP. From 308 until today, I could see his achievement and together with the government weakness... Mostly I could see was their achievements, I can feel that this state government was really keep touch with people and put their effort in helping people!

When the Chief Minister together with other DAP leaders cum YB EXCOs walked in, most of the people were welcoming them with glad of grateful! I could see mostly the chinese and the second were the Indians! It's a good sign that means we have the 1 Malaysia concept.

Alright then later those leaders continue with their speech and one YB's speech was awesome! He said the 1Malaysia concept is just 'Tipu Malaysia" which cheated all the malaysian! I was agree with this because many accidents and incidents had happened and showed that there was no longer fair enough for opposition. Everything is under control by someone! I don't want to mention who is him or who are they... I think you should know that! Really 1 Malaysia is just like Tipu Malaysia! XD...

Everyone was silence at the 1 minute moment!

Later when the last schedule was Chief Minister speeching time. I couldn't listen finish his talk because that night I plan to go for my schoolmates' funeral. By the way, before he started his speech he called us to stand up and silence for 1 minute! I saw everyone was so respect to those who sacrificed in the accident... It was so touching when up to thousand people remain in silence moment!

Conclusion that night most of the leaders were talking about the education and some hot politics issues such as "Allah" words using! I don't want to talk too much and I hope that to next general election DAP together with Pakatan Rakyat can win more seats and be the federal government! We're looking forward for Pakatan Rakyat! The 1st post of 2010!

Hello everyone Happy new year! How was your last night? Was it amazing? Or you countdown alone? However I think everyone had a very memorable minutes in countdown to reach 2010. A new decade step in since year 2000. A brand new year, brand new style, brand new look, brand new everything! XD.

I went to the Queensbay last night for the countdown concert. I love my dad very much who ride motorbike fetch me there. The whole Penang island was so traffic jam last night! 5 places to countdown, I could see that Pesta attracted a lot of Malays whereas Queensbay attracted a lot of teenagers!

My dad and I were taking a photo there! We get the stuffs(don't know how to mentioned) from P1 WiMAX. We holding the stuffs and took a photo. I would like to thanks the lady who helped us took this photo!

Before reach 12.00am, the MC were asking every celebrities what're their new year resolution. Power Station said that they will have a concert in Malaysia on the month of March, looking forward! Whereas Tank hopes to be the main character in those drama. Many more local celebrities hope to have their own concert too and some of them can 'fly' more high!

After 20 seconds of countdown! It reached 2010! Everyone shouted there and the fireworks came up to the sky. The atmosphere there was so high and many of them so glad to watch the fireworks. The fireworks was good and it stands until 8 minutes! The MC kept saying Happy New Year to everyone and wish everyone all the best in new year! XD.

After the fireworks, there were still an encore! Power Station and Tank were sang together and again burn up the high atmosphere! They sang about few songs and later every celebrities came out and wish everyone! That time was the best time to take photos, but I didn't because my memory stick was full! Anyway, the event overall end at 12.40am! It's a fun night.... crowded.

Go Green Project @ Queensbay Mall

Recently Leo Club was held many events in Penang. That day after Pillow Fight, there was another event happened in Queensbay Mall. The organizer Leo Club of Penang City hosted a "Go Green Project just start from your home!" The purpose of holding this project is to encourage people reduce the waste and make the waste into useful items.

There were many peoples support on this project. There were about 20 teams participated in the recycling items making competition. Everyone used up their creativity to think out how to make an useful items from the recyclable items.

My school ChungLing sent a team of Leos to represent on this competition. They paid for it and join the competition. When I arrived there, I saw many of them busy working and some chit chatting with friends. But lastly I didn't see their result! They had made the most terrible item compare with others. Maybe they were lacking of time or no form to cope with!

The organizer had invited the celebrities Baki Zainal who rush from KL to Penang for the purpose to host this program. The friendly Baki Zainal walked around to interview the participants. His action really funny and he was using the both language which were English together with Chinese. The MC of the day ahKOK cooperate with him very well and keep making the jokes for the audiences.

As you can see most of the participants used up their creativity to work on their items. Actually I could see some of them really put effort on making those things. Which you can see the photo above who were using the astro plate together with the tyres to design out another item. Seriously I don't know what's use on it. I could see the creativity from the participants! Good job.

Pillow Fight @ Penang Times Square

Last Saturday, Penang Island had a lot of activities. Penang Leo Clubs had organized two events which at Penang Times Square and Queensbay Mall. Most of the people known the largest pillow fight in Malaysia. It had happened in Penang Island! The purpose of having this kind of event is to raise the fund for the needs of disabled. Those fund especially go for the caring homes such as St. Nicholas!

That day when I arrived there the event was going to end. I saw less people there and no longer the fight out there. I arrived there about 1pm something after my meeting at school. I thought it ends on 2pm but it doesn't. I think maybe is because of the rain came and the open plaza will get wet after it.

I just manage to take some 'lame' photos. I can't blame anyone because is myself late to be there. It's alright and I met some friends there. Most of them were bloggers and photographers. I saw many peoples were received their award from the organizer.

I didn't have chance to see all of the event. So I can't imagine what had happened while they were fighting. I just saw many boys and girls there holding their pillow and the floor was full of cottons.

Next, I saw some photographers were snapping on the car. This car was sponsored by RedBull and it painted RedBull design. I think this car should have something special or maybe the celebrities Baki Zainal was inside the car, or perhaps? By the way, this was a nice car!

I didn't take lots of photos on that day. I just walked there and take a look on the event. But I remember the theme for this Pillow Fight... Fight for A Good Cause! It's suitable for those candidates who was just passed their exam and released their stress on the first day of holidays! Although this event didn't reach the target that organizer set but I think it's a good start for Penang local events. It's a new event, I shouldn't miss it next year!

Lastly, Nicholas Chan and Yong Seng were taking photo with me. I think this photo is meaningful because it contains of '3 generations'. It's because now Nicholas 17, Yong Seng 16 and me 15. Thomas Jack 东于哲 Signature Concert

Last Sunday afternoon, one of the new group of the singers Thomas Jack 东于哲 who from Taiwan were here to carry out their signature concert. They came to Malaysia many times while acted in the drama from Astro which named 逆风18 and the latest 高校铁金刚. The latest drama was directed by the local director in Penang. It used the Han Chiang High School as the main place of the drama.

Both of the characters of the drama Thomas Jack were come to Queensbay Mall to do their signature concert. Most of the teenagers were there and watch for them. As you can see most of them were taking photos on Thomas Jack!


This signature trip were sponsored by Astro. I saw the My FM DJ was there hosting the whole event. This two teenage Thomas Jack who from Taiwan were only 19 years old. I can't believe that they are just elder than me 4 years old. Cool man!





To get the supports from their fans, they played through the games with them and who be the winner will get the prizes back... They mixed with everyone friendly and just treated as their friends. One of the member Jack was mentioned that he saw a lot of girls there and most of the students came from Han Chiang High School.

As I comment here, they were really a good teenage singer group. I think both of them will be more popular in future. Hopefully they can always come to Malaysia act the drama, do more concerts and entertain Malaysian teenagers... Stay tuned for the Part 2! Posted by GenYong 25.11.2009
