Guys, so finish reading the previous post plan to get yourself an iPhone 4S? For me, yes! Hmm... I never use any iPhone before and just stick with my Nokia keypad phone. Why I wish to have an iPhone? Hmm... I need an iPhone for.. of course is use as contact friends, using their special apps, enjoy using WiFi Internet, playing games like Angry Birds and many more features! I am looking forward to own one of it and change my daily life. Seriously I wish to have an iPhone to update my Facebook, Twitter or even do some LIVE instant blogging. Hopefully I can get an iPhone 4S which have 8 megapixel of camera to capture the better photos to share them online!

My friend YouLoong's birthday

I never organize a birthday party before but I do attend my friends birthday party. I almost seldom make myself attend to those birthday parties because sometimes I was not so free and convenient too. Anyway, in earlier of this month (01.12.2011), I get invited to join on celebrating my friend You Loong's birthday at Neway Karaoke Box, Queensbay Mall.

I make myself first time go into the party room of the karaoke box, make myself celebrating people's birthday inside the KTV. The feeling was so cool and really a big surprise for my friend, You Loong. On that day, he never noticed that we were going to celebrate birthday for him and he just simply follow our instruction went into Neway KTV. After that, we were giving him a surprise.

After singing some songs, the system turned down and changed the song into birthday song! Wow, everyone were shocked on that and after that everyone started to sing the birthday song together with the birthday cake were delivered into the party room. What a surprise! 

Singing in the dark was so fun and exciting...

Actually this idea were originated from Missyanda and her friends which all YouLoong's friends too. Anyway, we used to plan it while SPM examination still going on and had some discussions while group study at library. It was cool!

The New Komtar

Walked in Komtar I could feel that Komtar is reviving and the facilities in Komtar are slightly upgrading. Besides that, I could see more and more people walking back to Komtar. Review the history of Penang, Komtar is actually named as Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak which built in 1980s. It was the most high standard shopping complex before previously. But seems to be the time is flying, things are changing so the old style shopping complex has no longer suits the people now!

Since the Penang State Government announced to remain their government offices at Komtar, Komtar being to be having a hope to revive! Recently Penang State Government had develop back Komtar from opening Pacific Supermarket, Komtar Walk, Popular Book Stores, Komtar Bus Terminal, ICT Komtar until the latest 1st Avenue. Today Komtar is better than previous years, although it was not like 1980s that crowded I can see that Penang State Government are trying their best to revive back Komtar!

I was glad to see that Komtar could be reviving back from old style shopping complex into slightly modern... It was really a big shopping triangle in Georgetown. After you walked finish Komtar, you can shop again in Prangin Mall and after that you still can shop to 1st Avenue. Now the new Komtar Level 3 is finished renovated and it turns to be cleaner and clearer view. Good!

Well, Komtar is now lacking of parking lots so hopefully Penang State Government could renovate the current parking complex and attract more people to park their car inside and enjoy their shopping safely. Well done to Penang State Government! I hope that more and more commercial units could back to Komtar and start their business again, carrying out more events to attract more people back to Komtar! Christmas Feeling at Straits Quay

From the previous post that I mentioned I went to Straits Quay with family, I felt that the christmas atmosphere was near in Straits Quay. Looking up the decorations in the main central zone, I was feeling so glad to see the beautiful and amazing design in my hometown - Penang.

I think this year Christmas, Penang will full of crowds and traffics too. Only inside the island, Gurney Drive and Queensbay will be the hot spot for countdown Christmas. I think Straits Quay will be the next hot spot in this year, as well as the scenery and environment there was more suitable for most people.

I had taken some photos with my sister and grandma while my parents were still at the book fair. I was so like the huge christmas tree and I think it needs a lot of efforts doing this, really not easy!

The most attractive spot in Straits Quay will be the flea market in the central zone. When I sat at there with my grandma, I could see that there were non stop flowing of people. Most of them were attracted by the small stuffs and also some christmas decorations designing.

Straits Quay was built directly facing to the sea and almost every weekends I could see crowds over there. No matter is family, couples, tourists or even young boys and girls. I believe that Straits Quay will be leading towards for the Christmas and New Year Countdown event this year.

In the conclusion, Straits Quay has the special way on designing their christmas decorations! The lights and designs were seems to be classic and seems like hotel style. Popular Mega Book Fair 2011

Two weeks ago Popular was having the Mega Book Fair at Straits Quay, Penang. It can be considered as the largest book fair ever in Penang. The venue was at the Straits Quay Level 6 Convention Centre. The location looks nice and huge enough to have such kind of event. If I am not mistaken, this was the first time the convention centre being used.

Inside the Popular Book Fair, I could see many types of books there. Fiction books, novels, documentary, comics, history and also some kids stuffs with stationeries. Besides that, there were selling some CDs too, of course there were original! Selling some classical songs, albums from those International popular singers.

That day, I was actually following my dad and family together went to Straits Quay for the book fair. My dad was interested on listening the talk from a Feng Shui Sifu who came from Hong Kong. This sifu was featured before at radio station 988 and he could tell you the ways on handling feng shui and he also predict out the overall luck on the year of Dragon in 2012.

I think the book fair was good for everyone especially students to let them really exposed themselves into the reading world. Students are able to learn more knowledges during this year end holidays and encourage themselves to gain more experiences and knowledges too.

I hope that next time Popular or any book stores can still having such a big scale book fair in order to encourage the reading habit from the people.
