La Kaffa Ipoh Family

Talking about La Kaffa, yes it's a good news for coffee lovers in Penang. La Kaffa is coming to Penang soon maybe this June! Alright why I keep on promoting La Kaffa this few months? As I am not the signature model from them also right? Actually, my previous boss is going to operate another franchising F&B outlet from Taiwan besides Chatime!

La Kaffa is 80% serving in coffee just like Starbucks or Coffee Bean. This coffee concept was from Taiwan. Recently in the month of March, La Kaffa was opened in AEON Station 18, Ipoh and becoming the 2nd outlet in Malaysia. I was there working for one week! I was just helping them in the opening and also learn some skill of making a better coffee!

Sometimes there was no customer so we take the chance to have some group shot or some funny camera playing too! As I was not there for long time, so I very appreciate everyday at there! It was fun to work with them!

I was first time out from Penang alone and working under a strange place. I was nervous when I first arrived there. It was quite strange to me! Luckily my senior Max Lim, Nelson Loo, Ah Fann were there giving me advice on how to work out for better coffee. Thank you very much!

At Ipoh, there were a lot of leng zai leng lui means handsome boys and pretty girls which attracted me to know them as friends. Hahaa.. I was just kidding and it was great that I have the chance to meet back my previous Leo Club's friends who stay in Ipoh and Kampar.

Well I am glad to have the chance to work in Ipoh for a week! Not a long period of working there but through out the 3 months of my working life, I was lucky to get the chance working in Ipoh, tasted Ipoh food and learnt how to be independent! It is good, really thanks to my boss! Are you looking forward to La Kaffa? Yes it's coming really soon...

ONE Residence, Bayan Lepas

ONE Residence! What's that? It is a development which located in my housing area Bayan Lepas. Recently, around my housing area was having the big housing developments. Many of the national ranked developers were moving up to my housing area and start to develop, such as SP Setia, Ideal Properties, Palmex Properties, Sunway Properties, Mah Sing Group and so on.

In this 5 years there was a big change in the area of Bayan Lepas. Now Bayan Lepas no longer a small town or a village which full of kampung. Sungai Ara and Batu Maung which located in Bayan Lepas region, have much developments on housing and commercial projects. ONE Residence is one of the housing projects from Ideal Properties.

Well, previously this land was a farm which contains a vegetable farm in large scale and some kampung houses inside. Now everything has gone and turn it to be a new housing estate. Soon more and more rich family are going to move in here and increase the population in the area of Bayan Lepas.

Inside the housing estate, there are containing the semi detached houses, double storey terrace houses, bungalows all in gated security, apartments, condominium and soon the commercial units and also an international school will be built at there too! It seems like a small township for Bayan Lepas!

I was nearly everyday cycling there since there is a new place and the road is wide that comfortable for me to cycle around! The important things there is the new place has less car yet for now so I make my frequent visits there to see the big houses!

Tea Secret at Queensbay Mall

Besides Chatime, there was a lot of tea desserts popping out recently. For Penang, there was 6Celcious, ShareTea and also the Tea Secret that I would like to recommend in this blog post. Tea Secret was originated from Malaysia and also from Penang. I am proud to say it was started up by my secondary school senior who aged only 23 years old.

Tea Secret was opened in Queensbay Mall about half a year ago. It is a kiosk outlet which located at the Lower Ground Floor near the basement car park entrance. The Tea Secret outlet was located near Jusco supermarket and also several food outlets such as Kenny Rogers Roaster, Bread History.

Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea

On the 15th May, I was there with my friend to take my first try there. There was so cool because that day was 15th and every month 15th there will have Buy 1 Free 1 Promo for whole day long! We bought one Large Roasted Milk Tea Brothers which inside the drink contained of Pearl, Grass Jelly and Pudding. We got a free Large Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea! Quite worth while you bought the drinks there!

Yes they have some unique drinks like the new launched red bean smoothies series which can't be found in Chatime. Their fruit teas seems to be so attractive and nice, I might go to have a try in the future then! If you go on 15th every month, there have a promo of Buy 1 Free 1! Really worth it and it's a good attitude from the boss to rewards their customer frequently.

Overall there are variety of drinks that you can try besides Chatime. I believe it can be expanding soon to the nationwide Malaysia. As now it only located at local which in Penang and the only outlet in Queensbay Mall. The teas there were nice and unique as I can rate it as 7/10. Chatime Suntech Penang

Chatime is a well known bubble tea company that franchised from Taiwan since year 2010. When it arrives in Malaysia getting many supports from the tea lovers which from KL mostly. Now the franchise network has expanded until the north and south zone of Malaysia. Up to Penang and down to Johor Bahru also having Chatime right now!

Recently my house estate there also opened up one new Chatime branch. It is located at Suntech Penang which near to Sunshine Square and also the Bayan Baru market. It's a good spot for those industrial office workers to buy their drinks here! It was also the 2nd outlet opened in South Zone of Penang Island since Queensbay Mall.

This outlet is not under my previous boss, it's under Chatime Malaysia which serves the thirstea deals! In Penang my boss only owned the only 2 outlets there are Chatime Gurney Plaza and Chatime Queensbay Mall, that's why you can see that whenever any deals from Chatime Malaysia, there will except Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall. However this outlet concept really cool and nice!

I went there for several times since it opened on 20th May 2012. I was like the regular customer there! Quite nice with the drinks that they served and the service is good but still have some improvement there such as the speed of making a drink. However, I satisfied with the service they provided!

Tried their special Lychee Black Tea and share with my friend. Some drinks like Mango Black Tea can't find at there whereas some drinks from there can't find from my previous working place too! One reason, different management from different operators! xD

The outlet interior design was damn cool and it still contain of 2 floors which the upper floor can be used as a space for gathering or even having some games! Quite nice and their menu are as shown clearly by using the electrical signboard. The special one is their number counting device.... Once your drink has done, the number will blink! =) Overall the place is so suitable and nice to have drinks there! Can go and take a try... Posted by GenYong 06.06.2012

PSDC Groupmates Outing

A few weeks ago, I was joined my PSDC Groupmates for their outing to Queensbay Mall. First of all we planned to watch a movie but too bad it was non-favourable movies for us that week so we changed the plan to have some singing at Neway!

My first time outing with my college mates and they are all from Group 4 and 5. We sang for a few hours there and chit chatting there to chill ourselves after a series of assignments has done. Nothing much special, just some new friends I met and new outing feeling with all of them!

At last, I am glad to have those friends that always stay close with me. Whenever I have some problems in assignments or anything, they are willing to solve the problems for me! Mothers Day 2012 Family Dinner

Mothers Day has over... so how were you celebrate the mothers day with your mum or grandma? Usually for chinese, we will bring mothers to have something nice like having dinner together or give some present to mum as an appreciation from their caring to us.

For myself, I bought a cake for my mum and sponsored her on the cosmetic stuffs! Cool. Well, my dad brought all of us to the neighbourhood restaurant which near to my house and have the simple dinner. 

Before the dinner, my sister and I had taken some photos with my mum and grandma! We love them very much because they showed a lot of cares on us and always giving advise for us when we were facing troubles.

At last, thank you mum for your patients and caring on us! Sorry because we always make troubles on you and sometimes we might be quarrel with you!
